About Jennifer
Jennifer M. Betancourt concentrates on family law issues at the trial court level. Her practice includes dissolution of marriage, paternity and child support proceedings, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, relocation, post-judgment proceedings such as enforcement and modification, adoptions, domestication of foreign orders, and domestic violence injunctions.
Jennifer is a zealous advocate ready to take a case to trial, but is also sensitive to the financial and emotional cost of litigation and strives to resolve cases for her clients in the most efficient manner such as mediation or through settlement negotiations.
She often works with a variety of experts, including Certified Public Accountants, financial planners, appraisers, business valuators, guardian ad litem and psychologists to provide comprehensive legal representation to her clients.
Jennifer is a New York native born of Cuban parents, who is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. She received her Cum Laude Bachelors in Science from The State University of New York at Buffalo and later went on to graduate Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Masters in Journalism and Communication prior to attending Nova Southeastern University Sheppard Broad School of Law and where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree.
Jennifer is a member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section and is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.
